“Golokera Prema-Dhana: The Divine Power of Hare Krishna Mahamantra”

                                “Golokera Prema-Dhana"

The Divine Power of Hare Krishna Mahamantra

                    Om ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā

cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ

In the path of bhakti (devotion), the chanting of the holy names of the Lord is the most powerful and accessible spiritual practice. Our ācāryas have mercifully given us this simple yet profound process to purify our hearts and awaken our eternal relationship with Krishna.  As taught by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahāmantra  is the essence of all spiritual success in this age.

🙏"Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare"🙇

His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda explains, citing Caitanya Bhagavata (Madhya 23.78), that by simply chanting the Hare Krishna Mahāmantra, one can achieve all success in life—sarva-siddhi. This is the special blessing of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

However, chanting is not a mechanical activity. It is not merely counting beads on a mala, nor is it a material mantra meant for achieving worldly gains. The Mahāmantra is a spiritual treasure—Golokera prema-dhana, the divine wealth of love for Krishna descending from the spiritual world.

When we chant the Hare Krishna Mahāmantra without offenses (nāma-aparādha), we gradually become free from all sinful reactions. This chanting is not ordinary sound—it is a transcendental vibration that directly reaches Krishna. He hears our sincere call, our humble plea for forgiveness and shelter.

Chanting becomes truly effective when done with purity, attention, and humility. It is Krishna Himself who gives us the ability to chant and keeps us engaged in His holy names. Every breath we take is an opportunity to remember Him.

It is said that an adult takes approximately 20,000 to 30,000 breaths each day. Imagine how wonderful it would be if we could remember Krishna with every breath! In this way, we remain protected from the influence of Māyā and stay connected to the Lord.

Chanting the Mahāmantra does not guarantee material success, nor is it a business transaction to fulfill our desires. Rather, it grants us the highest success—attaining the Lord’s mercy (kṛpā), purification of the heart, divine knowledge, and inner peace. We become spiritually enriched and cleansed from within.

Krishna has given us free will—the choice to act wisely or unwisely. It is up to us to take this opportunity seriously and engage in devotional service within this very lifetime.

Dear readers, let us not delay our spiritual journey. Human life is rare and precious. Instead of waiting for another birth, let us strive in this very life to receive Krishna’s blessings by sincerely chanting His holy names as much as possible.

With faith, humility, and determination, let us take shelter of the Hare Krishna Mahāmantra and progress steadily toward the ultimate goal—loving service to Krishna and returning to His eternal abode.

I offer my humble obeisances at the lotus feet of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, who has kindly given us the holy name of Krishna and shown us the path of devotional service.

                                            Hare Krishna 🙏🌼

Krishna’s Bhagavad Gita – A Divine Song of Love

Krishna’s Bhagavad Gita – A Divine Song of Love

The Bhagavad Gita is not just a sacred text—it is a divine song of love sung by the Supreme Lord, Krishna, to His beloved devotee Arjuna. It is timeless, eternal wisdom meant for all of humanity. Comprising 700 ślokas, the Bhagavad Gita was spoken on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, at a moment of great moral and emotional crisis. While externally it appears to be a conversation before a war, internally it is a profound dialogue about life, duty, soul, and the ultimate purpose of existence.

Many people think the Bhagavad Gita is simply a story about war—but it is far more than that. It is beyond imagination, revealing the deepest spiritual truths. Through this divine message, God reaches out to His children, guiding them back to Him with love and compassion. Sadly, we fallen souls have forgotten our eternal relationship with Krishna.

To truly understand the Bhagavad Gita, it is essential to receive its knowledge through authorized disciplic succession. I humbly recommend reading:

👉 Bhagavad-gita As It Is by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

Though there are many translations available, this edition presents the Lord’s message clearly, purely, and without distortion. It explains the spiritual essence in simple language while firmly establishing Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Just as we take medicine under the guidance of a qualified doctor, similarly, we must approach the Bhagavad Gita through realized spiritual masters (ācāryas) who possess true Vedic knowledge.

Great ācāryas like:

  • Madhvacharya
  • Adi Shankaracharya
  • Ramanujacharya
  • Nimbarka
  • Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

—all have declared Lord Krishna to be the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Meaning:
Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest Myself. To protect the devotees, annihilate the miscreants, and re-establish dharma, I appear age after age.

सर्वधर्मान् परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज ।
अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः ॥

Meaning:
Abandon all varieties of religion and simply surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.

The Bhagavad Gita is the beginning (A, B, C, D) of spiritual knowledge. If one studies it sincerely and seriously, by the grace of the Lord, all misdeeds are gradually destroyed. The Lord Himself takes responsibility for those who surrender unto Him.

Just as bathing in the sacred Ganga River cleanses one of impurities, similarly, immersing oneself in the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita purifies the heart and soul.

O my dear Lord Krishna,
We are lost in this material world, forgetting You again and again. Yet You mercifully descend and speak this divine song to guide us back home.

Let me read Your Bhagavad Gita with sincerity, humility, and devotion.
Let me understand Your message through the mercy of Guru and ācāryas.
Let my heart become purified, and let my love for You awaken eternally.

Winning the Battle Within

Winning the Battle Within

Our surroundings—the environment and our mind—are under the influence of materialistic enjoyment. Our mind is like a person in a drunken state, always in a subconscious condition, acting unknowingly. That is what we call Māyā. We are all under the influence of this illusory world, like a mirage in a desert, where we keep running after an oasis.

As A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada says, “We need to conquer our mind first.” We are trying to conquer each other’s countries through war, but why can we not win the battle against our own mind, which ignites negative urges within us? A balanced mind will always think rationally and judge without bias. Irrespective of the situation—whether it is gold, silver, or a pebble—a person with a balanced mind sees all with equality.

In the Padma Purana, it is stated that human beings are governed by three qualities or modes: passion, goodness, and ignorance.

In the Padma Purana, it is explained that every human being is governed by three qualities (guṇas) of material nature: goodness, passion, and ignorance.

  • Mode of Goodness (Sattva) – Characterized by purity, knowledge, and peace. It elevates one toward wisdom and clarity.
  • Mode of Passion (Rajas) – Driven by desires and restless activity, leading to attachment and constant striving.
  • Mode of Ignorance (Tamas) – Marked by darkness, laziness, and illusion, keeping one bound in confusion.

These three modes bind the soul to the material world and influence our thoughts and actions at every moment.

To understand this deeply, the Bhagavad Gita (14.5) states:

“सत्त्वं रजस्तम इति गुणाः प्रकृति-संभवाः
निबध्नन्ति महाबाहो देहे देहिनमव्ययम्”

Sattvaṁ rajas tama iti guṇāḥ prakṛti-sambhavāḥ
nibadhnanti mahā-bāho dehe dehinam avyayam

“O mighty-armed one, the three modes of material nature—goodness, passion, and ignorance—bind the eternal soul to the body.”

The ultimate goal is to control our mind and senses through yoga, meditation, and devotional activities such as worshipping Krishna, chanting His holy names, glorifying His pastimes, and making garlands for the Lord and Radha. In every breath, we should remember Krishna.

Purifying the senses is essential. Our senses are so strong that if we learn to control them, half the journey toward Godhead is already complete. This can be achieved through the practice of Bhakti Yoga, which helps us engage our senses in Krishna’s service. When our senses are engaged in divine service, the mind has very little scope to wander into useless distractions.

Krishna will help purify us. By listening to Him—through hearing and reading about Him—and by understanding the Lord through a true Ācārya, we gradually come closer to Him. We simply need sincerity in our desire to know God; then God Himself reveals His identity to us.

Śravaṇam (hearing) is one of the most powerful processes to reach Krishna. Among the nine processes of devotional service, it holds a special place. In today’s world, our mind is often closed and unable to perceive that God is reality. But when the mind becomes engaged in hearing about Him, we begin to perceive the transcendental nature of Vishnu.

“God is omnipresent, yet we cannot perceive Krishna due to our polluted minds. By becoming pious through śravaṇam (hearing) and kīrtanam (chanting), we gradually develop the purity needed to realize Him.

“मां च योऽव्यभिचारेण भक्ति-योगेन सेवते
स गुणान्समतीत्यैतान् ब्रह्म-भूयाय कल्पते”

Māṁ ca yo ’vyabhicāreṇa bhakti-yogena sevate
sa guṇān samatītyaitān brahma-bhūyāya kalpate

Meaning:
“One who engages in full devotional service to Me, without deviation, transcends these three modes of material nature and comes to the level of Brahman.”

This battle within us is for real, and we can win only with Krishna Kripa.

“ईश्वरः परमः कृष्णः सच्चिदानन्द-विग्रहः
अनादिरादिर्गोविन्दः सर्व-कारण-कारणम्”

Īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ
anādir ādir govindaḥ sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam

Meaning:
Krishna, who is known as Govinda, is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal, blissful, spiritual body. He is the origin of all, yet He Himself has no origin. He is the cause of all causes.

A Letter to Krishna

                A Letter to Krishna

Hey Krishna,

I love singing this mantra for You every day—each day, each moment. It keeps me connected to Your transcendental vision: as Gopāla, the gentle cowherd; as a loving friend; as the divine beloved; and as the magical force who can transform my life into that of the Gopikas—Your purest and most exalted devotees in Vrindavan.

“Krishnaya Vasudevaya Devaki Nandanaya cha |
Nanda-Gopa Kumaraya Govindaya Namo Namah ||”

My Lord, I call myself Your servant… yet I wonder—am I truly even that? As we say in ISKCON, dāsa-anudāsa—the servant of the servant. To reach even that humble position, I must purify my Krishna consciousness and loosen my grip on this material world to which I still cling.

At times, I feel as if I am hanging onto a fragile rope, suspended far above Vaikuṇṭha—Your eternal abode. I keep hoping that one day, by Your mercy alone, that rope will gently pull me upward and grant me even a tiny glimpse, a small fraction, of Your divine realm.

With tears in my eyes, I perform ārati to You and Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī in the small mandir I have made with love and devotion. In those moments, my heart feels close to You… yet my soul still longs for something deeper.

I often wonder—will I ever be able to cross this vast ocean of miseries?

O Krishna… when will I truly understand Your divine magic? When will You turn Your enchanting flute toward me and draw me completely into surrender at Your lotus feet?

I keep speaking to You, my beautiful and charming Vrindavan Bihari Lāl Ji. Everything in this world feels so uncertain, so unclear. Yet my mind remains fixed only on You, my Krishna…

Sometimes, it feels like I am sailing in two boats—this is the duality of life.

On one side, as a Sadhaka, I long to be with You in Krishna-loka, in Vaikuṇṭha. I am ready to become anything You wish—even an ant, a cow, or a dog—just to remain in Your service.

On the other side, I find myself struggling in this material world, in the body given by You—going through the cycles of life, being tested through difficulties, churned by hardships. Perhaps You are examining me, my Lord… seeing whether I am truly Your child, or merely pretending.

Shloka (Bhagavad Gita 18.66)

Sarva-dharmān parityajya
mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja
ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo
mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ

“Abandon all varieties of duties and simply surrender unto Me alone. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.”

O my dear Lord Krishna,
please accept this small and imperfect prayer of mine.
I have nothing to offer You but my restless heart.

Kindly purify it and make it a place where You may reside.  Keep me always at Your lotus feet as Your servant… or even the servant of Your servant.

A Fallen Soul

"Carrying Krishna to the World"- Śrīla Prabhupāda

             “Carrying Krishna to the World”

A Journey of Faith, Devotion, and Divine Mission

“When the Holy Name becomes your shelter, even fear bows down in silence.”

                                                    Śrīla Prabhupāda

                          oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā
cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ

I offer my respectful obeisance unto my spiritual master, who has opened my eyes, which were blinded by the darkness of ignorance, with the torchlight of knowledge.

Hare Krishna 🙏

“This humble offering is dedicated to my Ācārya, the Guru of Gurus—His Divine Grace Śrīla Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda.”

He was not just a great spiritual, philosophical, and religious preacher, but a divine instrument of the Lord. I truly feel that if Śrīla Prabhupāda had not appeared in this world, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) would not have come into existence as we see it today.

His determination, courage, conviction, and resilience were extraordinary. Above all, his Vedic knowledge was limitless—flowing like an eternal ocean of wisdom. In this age of Kali-yuga, can we find such a dedicated and selfless soul? One who spread the message of Lord Krishna across the entire world, beyond barriers of religion, nationality, or social status.

Clad in simple saffron robes, he boarded the cargo ship Jaladuta and undertook a courageous voyage to the United States to fulfill the instruction of his Guru. Even after suffering two severe heart attacks during the journey, he did not waver. With unshaken faith, he continued chanting the

Hare Krishna Mahāmantra:.

(Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare )🙏

Such is the power of the Holy Name—that when one sincerely chants, even Yamarāja, the lord of death, must pause. The Holy Name itself becomes the protector of the soul.

Śrīla Prabhupāda gifted the world with invaluable spiritual literature. His translation and commentary on Bhagavad-gītā As It Is is among the most widely read spiritual books, with millions of copies distributed worldwide. Devotees and seekers alike continue to immerse themselves in its timeless wisdom.

Through his teachings, he showed us the supreme path—to reconnect with the Supreme Lord through:

  • sincere devotional service
  • disciplined spiritual practice
  • study of scriptures
  • and constant remembrance of Krishna

Today, we see many initiated spiritual teachers, especially from Western countries, who are faithfully carrying forward his mission. They stand as living examples of his success, spreading Krishna consciousness in every corner of the world, continuing the disciplic succession with devotion and dedication.

From Dasanudasa to our great Ācārya,

I am fallen, imperfect, and still wandering in ignorance, yet by your mercy, a small ray of spiritual light has entered my heart. You have shown the path back to Krishna—a path of love, humility, and surrender.

I have nothing to offer you but my gratitude and my sincere attempt to follow your teachings, however small it may be. Kindly bless me so that I may remain steady on this path of devotion.

Let my mind always remember your instructions,
Let my words glorify the Holy Name,
And let my life, in some small way, serve your divine mission.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
All glories to Guru and Gauranga.

Hare Krishna 🙏

Sitting with My Thoughts and Krishna

“An empty mind is a devil’s workshop.”

Lately, I have been trying to keep my mind engaged through writing. Maybe that is why I started blogging—just to give some direction to my thoughts. Otherwise, the mind keeps wandering everywhere.

But somewhere inside, I feel… even this effort is not really mine. If You do not wish it, O Krishna, how can I even think, write, or express anything? .T

There was a time—during my teenage years—when life felt simple. I had friends in my neighborhood. We used to play, laugh, and spend time together without any complications. Even helping my mother in the kitchen felt nice and meaningful in its own small way. But slowly, everything changed.

Today, those friends are no longer part of my daily life. Now, most of the time, I am either with my thoughts… or thinking about You.

Once, I heard a monk say that everything in our life happens only by Krishna’s grace.  Even the ability to remember something, to understand something, or to express something—is given by Him. If someone wants to write about the Lord, it can happen only when He allows it.

That thought has stayed with me.

And it makes me wonder—Is my mind working because of You?

Are my good and bad thoughts also coming because of You?  If everything is Your will, then when I feel unhappy… should I accept that also as Your wish?.  Sometimes I feel peaceful thinking like that.

But sometimes, my Lord, my heart becomes confused. If You are Sarva Karana Karanam—the cause of all causes—then what is my role in all this? Am I truly responsible for my actions, or am I simply walking on a path that You have already written for me?

I do understand the law of karma—that every action has its reaction. Yet, I am still a human being, breathing and living under the influence of my senses, even if only to a small extent. At times, I get carried away without even realizing it.

And if my destiny is already shaped by Your will, then why do people blame me for things that were never fully in my control… when You alone are the supreme controller?

O Krishna, I do not question You in defiance—only in helplessness. Like a child who does not understand, I simply look toward You, hoping that one day, You will make everything clear.

In the end, my Lord, I place all my thoughts at Your feet, whether I understand or not, please just keep me close to You.

I am tired of these worldly duties, my Lord… I only wish to return to You.” Guide my mind, my words, and my actions. Help me remember You in every situation.

Even if I feel confused, let my faith in You stay strong.

I offer my humble gratitude to Srila Prabhupada for guiding souls like me toward You.

Hare Krishna 🙏

Your hunble servant Lord

“A Devotee’s Call for Divine Intervention”

“A Devotee’s Call for Divine Intervention”

Dear Krishna,

We are all Your children, part and parcel of Your divine creation. Yet, I often wonder—why do You watch us suffer? Why is there so much disparity in this world? The rich grow richer, and the poor remain poor. Within each of us, there is a constant battle—a struggle to survive in a world that often feels cunning, shrewd, and filled with illusion and manipulation.

O Lord, everyone is using the resources You have provided, but mostly to fulfill their own selfish desires. Sometimes I feel that since You are omniscient and know everything, why do You allow us to perform such fallen deeds? These actions only drag us deeper into ignorance, making us more and more entangled in sinful reactions.

On one side, I see Your beautiful, divine spiritual world—pure and blissful. On the other, I see this material world, where we fallen souls wander under the influence of māyā, undergoing the consequences of our actions. It feels like a cycle of birth and death, filled with suffering, confusion, and forgetfulness of You.

O Keshava, why have You designed such a life for us, where we wander through 8.4 million species, uncertain of our next birth? A humble servant like me aspires to reach Your lotus feet in the next life, yet even that hope feels uncertain. What, then, will be the fate of those who are unaware of Your existence, who have not yet discovered the path of self-realization and devotion?

My Lord, if only everyone realized that You are our eternal protector and well-wisher, perhaps no one would engage in sinful acts. The world would be filled with compassion, humility, and devotion.

O Krishna, why do You not appear again in this age and take charge of Your children? Guide us all back to You, beyond caste, creed, and all divisions. Let us walk together on the path of devotion that You have revealed through the sacred scriptures and divine teachings.

Bhagavad Gītā 4.7–8

Sanskrit:

Meaning:

Whenever there is a decline in righteousness (dharma) and a rise in unrighteousness (adharma), O Arjuna, at that time I manifest Myself.

To protect the devotees, to destroy the wicked, and to re-establish dharma, I appear millennium after millennium (yuga after yuga).

I humbly pray, O Lord, please hear this cry of my heart. Accept my words and bless us with true understanding and liberation. This is not the kind of world we long to live in—a place where darkness seems to overshadow light.

Please guide us back to Your eternal shelter.

Your eternal servant,
Pran Radha Devi Dasi
