“A Devotee’s Call for Divine Intervention”
Dear Krishna,
We are all Your children, part and parcel of Your divine creation. Yet, I often wonder—why do You watch us suffer? Why is there so much disparity in this world? The rich grow richer, and the poor remain poor. Within each of us, there is a constant battle—a struggle to survive in a world that often feels cunning, shrewd, and filled with illusion and manipulation.
O Lord, everyone is using the resources You have provided, but mostly to fulfill their own selfish desires. Sometimes I feel that since You are omniscient and know everything, why do You allow us to perform such fallen deeds? These actions only drag us deeper into ignorance, making us more and more entangled in sinful reactions.
On one side, I see Your beautiful, divine spiritual world—pure and blissful. On the other, I see this material world, where we fallen souls wander under the influence of māyā, undergoing the consequences of our actions. It feels like a cycle of birth and death, filled with suffering, confusion, and forgetfulness of You.
O Keshava, why have You designed such a life for us, where we wander through 8.4 million species, uncertain of our next birth? A humble servant like me aspires to reach Your lotus feet in the next life, yet even that hope feels uncertain. What, then, will be the fate of those who are unaware of Your existence, who have not yet discovered the path of self-realization and devotion?
My Lord, if only everyone realized that You are our eternal protector and well-wisher, perhaps no one would engage in sinful acts. The world would be filled with compassion, humility, and devotion.
O Krishna, why do You not appear again in this age and take charge of Your children? Guide us all back to You, beyond caste, creed, and all divisions. Let us walk together on the path of devotion that You have revealed through the sacred scriptures and divine teachings.
Bhagavad Gītā 4.7–8
Sanskrit:
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत ।अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥ ४.७ ॥परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् ।धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ॥ ४.८ ॥
Meaning:
Whenever there is a decline in righteousness (dharma) and a rise in unrighteousness (adharma), O Arjuna, at that time I manifest Myself.
To protect the devotees, to destroy the wicked, and to re-establish dharma, I appear millennium after millennium (yuga after yuga).
I humbly pray, O Lord, please hear this cry of my heart. Accept my words and bless us with true understanding and liberation. This is not the kind of world we long to live in—a place where darkness seems to overshadow light.
